Cybertruck wheel specs: bolt pattern, offset, hub bore and load

The Cybertruck's factory wheel is a 20 x 9.0J at ET58.5 on a 6 x 139.7 mm bolt pattern with an 84.1 mm hub bore, and its lug nuts take 151 lb-ft of torque. This page lists each specification with its source and shows how the Xolaris 24 x 9.5 ET37 relates to it.

What size are the factory Cybertruck wheels?

Tesla's owner's manual lists a 20 x 9.0J wheel, 20 inches in diameter and 9.0 inches (228.6 mm) wide, for every Cybertruck variant. Long Range and Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive trucks can also have an 18 x 9.0J wheel. Both factory wheels use the same ET58.5 offset.

What is the Cybertruck's factory wheel offset?

Both factory wheels are ET58.5: the hub mounting face sits 58.5 mm (2.30 in) outboard of the rim centerline, a positive offset. A lower offset moves the wheel and tire outward, toward the fender; a higher one moves them inward, toward the suspension and brakes.

Offset figures describe the wheel alone; the tire adds its own width on both sides. The offset calculator compares any width, offset and tire with the factory setup, and the table below compares the Xolaris standard 24-inch wheel.

What is the Cybertruck bolt pattern?

The Cybertruck uses a six-lug 6 x 139.7 mm bolt pattern, which is 6 x 5.5 inches, with M14 x 1.5 lug threads. Tesla's owner's manual does not print either figure; both are commonly published aftermarket figures. Every Xolaris wheel is drilled 6 x 139.7 mm for the Cybertruck and nothing else.

The bolt pattern, the hub bore and the lug thread are the three fixed interfaces between a wheel and the truck. A replacement wheel has to match all three exactly; everything else about it, from diameter and width to offset, can change.

What is the Cybertruck hub bore?

The Cybertruck's center bore is 84.1 mm (3.31 in), a commonly published aftermarket figure the owner's manual does not print. Xolaris wheels are hub-centric at 84.1 mm, so each wheel centers on the hub itself rather than on the lug nuts.

Because Xolaris wheels are made for the Cybertruck only, the bore is machined to its hub and nothing else.

What lug nut torque and socket size does a Cybertruck use?

Tesla's owner's manual specifies 151 lb-ft (205 Nm) of lug nut torque and a 21 mm socket. Xolaris wheels take the factory lug nuts at the same torque, tightened in a star pattern with a calibrated torque wrench, never an impact gun for final torque.

Read the Installation and Safety Requirements before fitting a Xolaris set.

How much load does each Cybertruck wheel carry?

The owner's manual lists a front gross axle weight rating of 4,255 lb, or 2,127.5 lb per wheel, and a rear rating of up to 5,247 lb, or 2,624 lb per wheel, on Premium All-Wheel Drive and Cyberbeast trucks with all-terrain tires. Each Xolaris wheel is rated to 3,600 lb.

A gross axle weight rating is the most that axle may carry, shared between its two wheels, so the per-wheel figure is half the axle figure. The Xolaris rating is a per-wheel figure on the same basis. A wheel rated above the axle limit does not raise that limit: the axle ratings on the Tire and Loading Information label still apply.

What tires come on a Cybertruck from the factory?

The 20-inch wheel comes on 285/65R20 all-season or LT285/65R20 all-terrain tires, and the 18-inch wheel on 285/70R18 all-season tires. Calculated from nominal dimensions, the 285/65R20 is 34.6 inches (879 mm) tall and the 285/70R18 is 33.7 inches, per the owner's manual's sizes.

A 24-inch wheel needs a 24-inch tire. The guide to tires for 24-inch Cybertruck wheels lists the sizes that stay within 2% of stock and the load and construction checks that go with them.

How does the Xolaris 24 x 9.5 ET37 compare with the factory wheel?

It keeps every fixed interface the same: the 6 x 139.7 mm bolt pattern, the 84.1 mm hub bore and the factory lug nuts at 151 lb-ft. It changes the diameter to 24 inches, the width to 9.5 inches and the offset to ET37.

The standard 24-inch wheel is the same width and offset on Monolith, Zenith and Umbra. 20-inch and 22-inch widths and offsets are set in the build spec. The Cybertruck wheel fitment guide explains offset, tire sizes and load in more depth.

Cybertruck wheel specs FAQ

Not with a wheel bored to 84.1 mm. A hub-centric wheel centers on the hub itself, so there is no gap for a ring to fill. Every Xolaris wheel is machined hub-centric at 84.1 mm for the Cybertruck, so no adapter rings are needed.
