INSTALLATION AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Read before installing or driving. Wheels are safety-critical parts. Not following these requirements can cause wheel failure, loss of vehicle control, serious injury or death, and voids your warranty.
BEFORE INSTALLATION
- Inspect every wheel before mounting tires. Do not install a damaged wheel. Contact us instead.
- Confirm the wheels match your approved build spec and serial numbers.
- Use tires approved by the tire manufacturer for the wheel width, with a load index and speed rating that meet or exceed your vehicle's requirements.
INSTALLATION
- Installation by a qualified professional installer only.
- Use lug nuts compatible with the wheels and your vehicle.
- Hub and wheel mounting surfaces must be clean and free of debris, corrosion and paint.
- Tighten in a star pattern with a calibrated torque wrench to Tesla's specification. Never use an impact gun for final torque.
- Install TPMS sensors to the sensor manufacturer's instructions.
- Keep your installer's invoice. We may ask for it if you make a warranty claim.
AFTER INSTALLATION
- Re-torque after the first 50 to 100 miles (80 to 160 km) and every time a wheel is removed.
- Check tire pressure regularly against your vehicle's placard.
- Inspect your wheels after any impact with a pothole, curb or debris.
STOP DRIVING AND CONTACT US IF
- A wheel is bent, cracked or damaged.
- You feel new vibration, or a tire keeps losing air.
- You hear clicking or knocking from a wheel.
NEVER
- Weld, heat, straighten, re-machine, repair or refinish a wheel, unless Xolaris arranges it in writing.
- Exceed your vehicle's or tires' load or speed ratings.
- Use the wheels for racing, track use, jumps or rock crawling.
- Fit the wheels to any vehicle other than the Tesla Cybertruck.
If you sell your vehicle or wheels, give the new owner these requirements.
