The steel substructure (DC01/ST52) handles impact loads and mounting — laser cut, bent, welded, powder coated black. It's the backbone you never see.
The CNC aluminum inserts (4 pieces: LH, RH, middle, winch plate) are machined from solid 6061-T6 billet and finished in tanned anodize — the visible surfaces that define your truck's face.
This isn't aluminum-for-show. The inserts are structural, machined with threaded mounting points, and integrate seamlessly with the steel skeleton.
Every Xolaris bumper is designed to retain all factory sensors and cameras. No cutting, no relocation, no modification to OEM sensor hardware.
Why this costs what it costs.
Most bumpers are stamped steel with powder coat. They cost less because they use cheaper materials, cheaper processes, and a finish that starts degrading the moment a rock hits it.
The Xolaris front bumper uses CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum for every visible surface — the same alloy used in aerospace and motorsport. Each of the four aluminum inserts is machined from solid billet, not stamped from sheet metal. The tanned anodize finish is bonded at the molecular level — it doesn't chip, peel, or rust.
The steel substructure uses ST52 structural steel — not the cheapest grade available. Laser cut, bent, welded, powder coated black. It handles the impact loads so the aluminum handles the precision.

Because it's a fundamentally different product. Other manufacturers use A36 carbon steel with powder coat. Xolaris uses CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum with tanned anodize for all visible surfaces. The price difference reflects aircraft-grade materials, CNC precision, and a finish that will outlast powder coat by years.
Our bumper is designed to retain all factory camera and sensor positions without modification. We're conducting full FSD compatibility testing and will publish results before any units ship. If testing reveals any issues, we'll engineer a solution before delivery.

The winch mount is built into every bumper. You can add any Warn winch with a standard 10" x 4.5" mounting pattern at any time.
Under the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a manufacturer cannot void your vehicle warranty simply because you installed aftermarket parts. Tesla would need to prove that a specific Xolaris component directly caused a specific failure before denying a warranty claim. That said, Xolaris components are fully bolt-on — no cutting, no drilling, no wiring modifications, no permanent changes to your vehicle. Everything is reversible to factory spec for service visits. We recommend keeping your original parts in case you need to return to stock for any reason. Xolaris cannot provide legal advice on warranty matters — if you have specific concerns, consult Tesla or a qualified attorney.
